Kenny Whistler, born in 1961 to Irwin Whistler Jr. and Angelina Gonzalez, is a San Antonio, Texas native.

From a very early age, as the fourth of five children, Kenny had a propensity to draw pictures. It became his passion. This led to art classes and the thought of a career path that would follow art. What he didn’t know was that he was going to become an "architect" to practice his art.

His brother-in-law, in commercial real estate at the time, saw a pencil sketch that Kenny did of his grandmother’s house as an art assignment. He encouraged him to take a few architecture classes at a local community college.

Kenny soon realized a whole new world of opportunity to draw buildings and create art. So his passion continues in each architectural project he designs.

Kenny received his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1985 from Texas Tech University with a minor in urban studies.

He is a long-standing member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), is certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) and is registered to practice architecture in nine states (Texas, Missouri, Colorado, Georgia, Oklahoma, Louisiana, North Carolina, Nevada and Arkansas).
